Being punctual is important so that you won't waste the time of the other party by waiting for you. Breaking the ice during the meeting can be done by engaging in small talks. It is common for business professionals to talk about their families first before discussing the matter at hand. Avoid touching on political subjects during first meetings unless you have already established a strong relationship with the other person. This is because politics is a sensitive topic in the country.

In case you will be late or won't be able to attend the scheduled meeting, do not forget to notify the other party. Call the company, properly cancel the meeting, and ask to reschedule it. Not showing up at the meeting without any notice is considered rude and unprofessional. This will affect your image. Worse, the other party may no longer be willing to enter into any business negotiations and talks with you.

Another thing you should keep in mind when in a business meeting is to act and talk professionally. This would earn the trust and respect of the businessmen you are dealing with. It's also important to build rapport with them so as to have a good and strong business ties.
