College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian
The College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian consists of over 1,000 students with the teacher-student ratio of 1:15. The tenure-track faculty of nearly the entire school faculty have terminal degrees. The school spans over an area of 240,000 sq. meter. And the campus is located on top of a mountain that dominates the Cap-Haïtien city. Most of the students of the school are from the Cap-Haïtien city. For admission, the students must go through an entrance exam. The school encourages the students to attend religious mass on each Sunday but it is not mandatory.
The College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian is traditionally a boarding school however, as of date, most of the students are communters. Affiliated to Boy Scouts of Troupe Henri Christophe, the school is known for its academic and athletics excellence. Members of College Notre Dame Department of Athletics have excelled in both state and national level basketball and football championships. Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the former President of Haiti, received education from this school. 2004 was the centenary year for the school when alumni from all over the world gathered together to celebrate the school's 100 years.
