Isle of Boman, Petite Riviere De Nippes
The area is deprived of running water and form of sanitation system. Communication, churches, schools and clinics are simply non-existent. The fishermen do not have any kind of refrigeration system and they do not have any form of shelter from a storm. Grass and trees do not exist. They only have canoes dug out of logs that they use for their fishing activities. All they have is the sun and the sea and their living place stands stark naked in front of any fierce storm that can possible annihilate the entire place and the population.
The only hope of the people of Isle of Boman is MOM which is looking towards donations from fraternities, churches and sororities and just anyone willing to give a grant to help these people to get safety measures through their fishing village initiative. They are waiting for some help that can help them to improve the economic condition of the Isle of Boman, Petite Riviere De Nippes.
As a part of the development program, MOM's development manager in Haiti will place a small fish order from a Port-au-Prince vendor and will track the catch and its movement to the capital and will evaluate the every aspect including the obstacles to see if a fishing industry in Isle of Boman is feasible or not. Though it is difficult, it is not impossible and any tax-deductible donation for the purpose is accepted via PayPal and major credit cards.
