Haitian Pastor who fled to Haiti after impregnating 10 year old, arrested

fleeing to Haiti did not work for Raymond Vincent after all. According to Police, back in February, 2016 the 10 year old girl was taken to Broward Health Medical Center after complaining of stomach pain. She was found to be pregnant. The case was reported to the local police.

In the meantime, Raymond Vincent who is a youth pastor at a Pompano church and friend of the girl's family was suspected in committing the crime but left South Florida for Haiti.

U.S. Marshalls flew to Port-au-Prince and returned with Raymond Vincent, a youth pastor at a Pompano Beach Church

What does 4th of July represent for Americans, Brief history?

Many people think American celebrate Fourth of July because it was the day they received their Independence from England. No that is not the case. On July 4, 1776, thirteen English colonies declared themselves independence from England and the British Crown. They formed a new nation called the United States of America. The day that the decision was made by the thirteen original colonies , July 4th, has since been reserved as the day American people celebrate this historic event.

The thirteen original colonies were:
Delaware,
Pennsylvania,
New Jersey,
Georgia,
Connecticut,
Massachusetts Bay,
Maryland,
South Carolina,
New Hampshire,
Virginia,
New York,
North Carolina,

Be prepared for record travelers during 4th of July Holiday

FLASH - Birth of first Haitian baby with microcephaly or small head due to Zika virus

A pregnant Haitian woman who came to Florida delivered a baby with microcephaly or with small head. According to the Florida Department of Health, the mother was infected with the Zika virus in Haiti before she came to the United States.

Microcephaly is a major birth defects often caused by the Zika virus where a baby's head is much smaller than expected. During pregnancy, a baby's head is expected to grows as the baby's brain grows. However, Microcephaly can occur if the baby's brain did not developed properly during pregnancy

What should the Caribbean nations expect from BREXIT?

The recent decision for the United kingdom to remove itself from the European Union (EU) will likely have far reaching effect than predicted. The Caribbean nations are not immune from this new period of uncertainty, thanks to the BREXIT people who felt their country is being invaded by foreign workers and they must get out of the EU in order to protect themselves.

The long term effect in the Caribbean as a result of the British withdrawal from the European Union include:
1) A possible negative impact on Caribbean immigration into Europe, trade, UK's overseas territories,
2) A long period of uncertainty as Britain is Figuring out its foreign trade and development policy,
3) Implication for CARICOM going forward.

National Assembly on continuity status as no decision reached

The National Assembly in Haiti had an all night session last night and as usual, nothing was accomplished. The session finally ended on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 around 4:00AM. The Senators and Deputies were unable to to find an understanding to resolve their current difference. To be more direct, The government was unable to satisfy the demand of some Senators and Deputies to get their votes.

We were informed that a shake-up was required at the level of the ministerial cabinet to solve the current impasse. According to some members interviewed, Senator You Latortue and two others wants to have to more people appointed to ministerial positions before they allow a vote in favor of Jocelerme Privert

What is Brexit or British withdrawal from the European Union?

The English dictionary has an new work. It is called Brexit or a shortened from "British exit" to Brexit. British withdrawal from the European Union was a political goal that has been pursued by various individuals, advocacy groups, and political parties since the United Kingdom joined the European Union (EU) in 1973.

The European Union or the EU is an economic and political partnership involving 28 European countries. It has grown to become a "single market" in Europe, allowing goods and people to move freely around. A single currency, the euro, is in use in 19 of the member countries. The European Union has its own parliament responsible to create rules in a wide range of areas

$800,000 Deputy Rony Celestin's home taken by Government

A Home estimated at $800,000 belonging to Deputy Rony Celestin has been confiscated by the Haitian government. From what we understand, the order was given by the Lead agency for domestic enforcement of federal drug laws, and for coordinating and pursuing U.S. drug investigations abroad, DEA.

The home is located at Thomassin 48 and this is where some agents of CONALD proceeded a t the confiscation of the home. Other information obtained revealed that this particular house in fact belongs to Mr. Sergo Edouard who is currently in prison in the US.

This is Actress Nice Simon as she was installed as the new Mayor of Tabarre on Monday, June 27, 2016. Present at the ceremony was Deputy of Tabarre, Caleb Desrameaux, Gracia Delvas. Ms. Simon became popular in the movie "I Love You Anne". She played the role of the intimate friend of Don Kato.
