Haitian Flag, a Symbol of Unity and Sovereignty

To Haitians at home and in the Diaspora, let's pause today on he 18th of May, 2016 to salute our nation's flag which is a sacred symbol of freedom and justice. Our red and blue flag with the country's coat of arms emblazoned in the center was created in 1803 for the independence of Haiti. Jean Jacques Dessalines was the one who removed the white from the French tri-color flag to send a message to the world that we are no longer under the occupation of France. Remember we were a group of unskilled Black slaves who defeated France in the historic revolutionary war.

Electoral calendar to be published May 31, regardless of Commission's results

The CEP wants to reassure everyone that he will keep his words and that the electoral calendar will be made public not one day before or one day after May 31, 2016. Their action will be independent from and regardless of the result of the Electoral Audit Commission. This what was related to us by the spokesman for the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Nicole Simeon. In a press conference given recently, Ms. Simeon stated that the election process has already begun and that the CEP can't wait for the Verification Commission to complete its work.

Message delivered to Mathias Pierre as his enterprise strafed with bullets

Entreprise "Gama" in Delmas, a business owned by former Presidential candidate and current member of Pitit Dessalines platform was the scene of a crime. On the night between May 16 and 17, the enterprise was strafed with gunshots by unidentified individuals. This is what was announced by the owner, Mathias Pierre

Vice- delegate of Miragoane, Samuel Bonheur, now a fugitive

On the night between May 13 an 14 in an area known as Chalon, a group of individuals dressed in green military uniforms were arrested by the Police as they were planning on attacking the Police Station in Miragoane. The 21 individuals arrested were heavily armed with gun, riffles, knives, and other. Investigation revealed that these people were driving a car belonging to vice delegate Samuel Bonheur.

The Vice-delegate Miragoâne, Samuel Bonheur, did not want to stay around to answer questions from the Police; instead he has decided to stay under cover for the time been.

Guy Philippe rejects his involvement, stating Remy Teleus was coerced

This morning (Tuesday May 17, 2016) Guy Philippe denied any accusation that he was involved in the assault on the Commissariat in Cayes. On the airwaves of Radio Metropole, Guy Philippe denounced the accusations against him. He stated in the video currently circulating, Remy Teleus never mentioned his name. It was not until one of the reporters repeated his name to Remy Teleus that he confirmed that Guy Philippe sent him.

Since yesterday, following he attack on the Police station in Cayes, the attention has been focused on Guy Philippe. According to one of the bandits captured, Remy Teleus, Guy Philippe was the one who orchestrated this attack.

Four gunmen in Cayes' Police station attack dead

So much for a plan of attack. Four of the assailants who ransacked the Police Station in Cayes are dead. According to sources, the traffic accident took place following the attack. Among the things found at the location of the accident were rifles and pistols. One of the wounded seeing here stated that Senate candidate Guy Philippe was behind the attack.

FLASH - Guy Philippe, a suspect in the attack on Commissariat of Cayes

The plan to assault the Commissariat in Cayes was planned in Pestel by no other than Guy Philippe. This is what was revealed in the preliminary investigation on the attack this morning. One of the bandits captured, Teneus Remy, spoke, stating that he was involved in the Coup; that everything was organized in Pestel by Guy philippe

FLASH - Former soldiers attacked Commissariat of Cayes this morning, three captured

A group of about 50 individuals dressed in Military uniforms, attacked the Commissariat of Cayes early Monday (5/16/16) around 3:00AM. Several police Officer from APENA received gunshot wounds. One Police Officer in critical condition. Three of the aggressors have been arrested, taken to the Commissariat of Cayes

According to the information unfolding as we speak, The Former Military guys arrived at the Commissariat, demanded the keys for the prison which were unable at the time. Instead the Police officers reacted, fought back and the military former soldiers left the scene. After they committed their assault, on their way back, they got into an accident at Plaine Matin". Three of them have been arrested and brought back to the Commissariat of Cayes

Haitian and Dominican migrants attempting to enter Europe, posing as Somalis

It seems like Haitians and Dominicans would try anything to find a better life for themselves. The latest trend is trying to enter Europe. With the current crisis where thousands of immigrants from Syria, Somalia and other countries are attempting to enter Europe, some Haitians and Dominicans have been willing to fly 6,000 miles to Turkey and posing as Somalis with hope to emigrate in Europe also.

We were informed that they fly to Istabul as a visa is not required to enter Turkey. These Haitians and Dominicans then cross Aegean sea to Greek Island with the help of local smugglers. This particular crossing has resulted in many deaths. Upon their arrival, they claim to be from Somalia, Syria.

Radio caraibes hit with stones by aggressive PHTK protesters

It appears that PHTK or the Political Party of former President Michel Martelly does no longer believe in Non-violence protest. Their protest last Saturday is definietly a turning point as they erected barricades, burned tires and broke several car windshields during their protest march. As they reached Radio Caraibes FM, the protesters launched some slogans against journalist and radio show host Jean Monard Methelus and threw stones on the building, breaking several windows.

Organized by Fednel Monchery of repons Peyizan and Jude Lajoie, of Platfom Viktwa, the protest was due to the violation of the accord signed to continue with the process of the election.
