Venice, internationally renowned for two things, is literally comparable to Baraderes for the same interesting aspects which are the River like canal, and the Carnivalesque activities.
Baraderes, located in the Nippes department of Haiti, is partly isolated and elongated with beautiful river coastlines that make a boat ride an unforgettable experience. This town is easily accessible by boats instead of car transportation due to its stiffed rocky unpaved roads. Personally, I have attempted twice to reach there by car, but I feared for my car and the roadside safety was a major concern.
Similarly to Pestel, which is another town of the Nippes department of Haiti, is somewhat identical to a certain extent. They are both coastal towns. They have a great deal of lush vegetation and coffee crops that make them a lucrative market for coffee growers and sellers. The three kilometers upstream narrow river for its main street gives rise to this beautiful old town of Baraderes.

Is this true or is it just another fake news? It has been reported that Venezuela has been designated as the poorest country in the hemisphere. Haiti has been occupied the position as the poorest country in this emisphere for many years. But according to an undefined survey, Venezuela that ironically has been one of Haiti's best friends and a strong supporter economically, has become so poor itself that it has fallen below Haiti to become the poorest nation in this atmosphere.
I will need a grain of salt to swallow this one!
Jacqueline Charles, the Caribbean correspondent with the Miami Herald, stated that the U.N. is in talks with the Haitian authorities about taking peacekeepers out of Haiti. They are negotiating how to maintain peace on on the Caribbean island without the U.N. It is not clear how they will be able to do that. Some Haitians want the U.N.'s presence to be replaced by a new Haitian Military force.
The U.N. has been in Haiti for the past 13 years or since the 2004 coup that overthrew former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Some of the soldiers have been involved in local sexual abuse. They are also responsible for bringing the cholera epidemic to Haiti

Like the Americans idolize Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg, the Haitian agricultural community idolized equally Louis Dejoie, an exemplary genius agricultural minded entrepreneur.
Growing up, Dejoie's name was a house on his own. Everyone knew, heard or had an idea of who he was. To put it bluntly, he was a genuine agricultural entrepreneur godfather. Nowadays, seemingly youngsters in Haiti barely have a genius role model to look up to or to inspire by. As they progress in life, they become severely damaged by the Raboday "Syndrome" and they start searching for Setters for aspirations and role models.
Born in Port-au-Prince from the aristocratic/elite class, Dejoie was an agricultural pioneer in his own right. His obsessed fascination for agriculture had led him to travel great distances across the Atlantic to master so many agricultural subjects and techniques, from agricultural chemistry to agricultural entrepreneuria. He alone installed and created more than a dozen agricultural businesses throughout the country from Ile-a-Vache, Port-Salut, Cayes, and Miragoane to St Michel de l'Attalaye with more than 50,000 direct employments in the agricultural sector only. His agricultural prowess was unmatched. He was so convinced that Haiti, as a primary agricultural country, has the potential of becoming an agricultural force as it had been during the colonial times. His high IQ and his passion made him a true agricultural genius amongst his fierce competitors. Even though he was a senator, his political ambition was even larger than life. He was so driven that he was willing to take matters on his own by running for presidency until he was defeated in the presidential campaign in the late 1950's.
Here is a list I just received and I want to share it with you. It is a list of people to be in the government of future President of Haiti, Jovenel MOISE. This list is not official. It was probably produced by some with imagination. However some of the names included are very interesting.
Secrétaire général aux Palais national :
Christine Coupet Jacques
Ministre de l'Economie et des Finances :
This must be stopped and it must be done sooner rather than later. We must keep the integrity of the Haitian Pumpkin Soup, better known as Soup Joumou or Haitian Independence soup. Let me be direct, Haitian Soup Joumou must be made with beef and not chicken. The rich beef and bone marrow, was missing. Call a soup made with Chicken anything you want, but please don't call it Soup Joumou.
I have noticed a recent trend to move to a Soup Joumou made of Chicken and not beef as it is supposed to be. You might say that "Roland Mache Frite Anpil Kay Moun" or " Roland go out a lot to eat in people's houses". I don't care. However, last January, I was invited to eat my Soup Joumou in 5 homes, mainly Haitian friends and family members. I have got to tell you I was disappointed. Three of those houses served me the Soup Joumou made with chicken and not beef. I was so disappointed to the point I almost left without eating the Soup. Reasoning finally wan and I decided to take it home so that I could eat them during the week.
