Mind Hunger: This can be attributed to habit and mind separately. Habit hunger is a type of hunger where we eat because if habit. For instance, if someone always maintains a schedule for eating meals, that person will invariably eat as per defined schedule even if he or she isn't hungry. The schedule is maintained by the person but the habit is maintained by mind. Mind hunger on other hand is all about unreal hunger. When a person doesn't eat for long hours, the mind force him or her to think that he or she is hunger despite the fact that the person may not be hungry.

Body Hunger: This occurs only when the body actually needs food after fasting or during famine. If nothing is available, a glass of glucose water is must. If not provided, the body will start extracting energy from itself. It will first go for unassimilated food in body and then hone the tissues for glucose reserves and then it burns stored body fat and finally vital organs. This leads to starvation.

Stomach Hunger: This occurs when the stomach becomes empty and it must be resupplied with food. This is when many people overeat and that can stress the body. The body fails to breakdown the food properly and excess energy in form of calories eaten gets stored in form of body fat.

Taste Hunger: This is about temptation. A person may not be hunger but he or she may just eat a particular food item even with a full stomach simply because the person feels tempted. This also leads to addition of unnecessary calories.
