Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe Speaks at Azure College Commencement Ceremony

During Lamothe's talk, he encouraged graduates to apply their knowledge to be of service in their home towns. He congratulated them on earning their degrees and acknowledged the hard work and perseverance it took to finish their coursework.
He spoke of the establishment of Azure College by newly immigrated Haitians, who assimilated into American culture by gaining accreditation for Azure College. He added Azure College School of Nursing has distinguished itself, with a success rate of 100% job placements.
Following Lamothe's speech, Azure College President, Johnson Napoleon, expressed his gratitude to Lamothe for being part of the graduation ceremony as a guest of honor, and inspiring the graduates to go out into their communities and use their talents to improve quality of life for the disadvantaged. Napoleon also made known Azure College is funding ten scholarships for deserving students back in Haiti in the sum of nearly half a million USD. Azure is also giving the University of Haiti Nursing School a computer lab worth $25,000.
Thanking Napoleon for Azure's gift, Lamothe urged the graduates to not forget Haiti, and the benefits poor communities would gain with the Diaspora's commitment to raising their quality of life through improved healthcare services.
