Yonkers icon Jim Bostic and Bill Clinton to revive Haiti basketball

The pair teamed up after a chance meeting at a Haitian hotel they were both staying at. Clinton is currently working on his projects for Haiti through his foundation, the William J. Clinton Foundation. Bostic, on the other hand, has been involved in several missions in the country since the earthquake.

Bostic's recent mission, the revival of Haiti's national basketball program, has already been started off by the former basketball player for the Detroit Pistons. In late June, he hosted basketball clinics at the the Quisqueya Christian School. He taught both players and coaches the fundamentals of the sport he has loved for most of his life. Aside from this, Bostic has also raised a total of $3,500 for sponsoring 200 Haitian children to a summer camp for this year and an additional $1,500 for Haitian orphans.

The 2010 earthquake that hit Haiti left the country and its people with grief and devastation everywhere. Despite the government and the international community's efforts in rebuilding the Caribbean country, there is still much to do to rekindle the fire and pride of Haitians.
