Jonas Coffy replaced Rudy Heriveaux at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor

The leader of Party Ayisyen pou Ayiti, Jonas Coffy has been named to head the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor,
replacing Rudy Heriveaux. Both individuals have a Fanmi Lavalas background.

As early as few weeks ago, the president of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes, Robert Fritz St. Paul, Ariel Joseph Jean and Saint-Just Momprevil informed the press that they were in the process of bringing a lawsuit against Jonas Coffy for defamation after the later had accused them on a radio station of receiving bribed by René Préval in the case of Jacky Lumarque.

Andris riche refers to Lavalas as pest rats, delinquents in suit

Senator Andris Riche once again went back to his rich vocabulary to describe the Lavalas movement started by former President Jean Bertrand Aristide. Following the investiture of Prime Minister Fritz Jean, in an interview given to the news media, Senator Andris Riche refers to both President Jocelerme Privert and Prime Minister Fritz Jean as Members of the Political Party Lavalas which already damaged Haitian politic. He also referred to them as pest rats, rabble, delinquents who are dressed

Now look at me inside the national palace with champagne, said Lavalas activist

There is no doubt that several factions of the Lavalas movement were present in force at the National Palace for the inauguration of Jocelerme Privert as Haiti new Provisional President. The event was marked by the presence of the current Fanmi Lavalas presidential candidate Maryse Narcisse and Aristide 's own wife, Mildred Aristide. Some people said that Jean Bertrand Aristide had deployed his heaviest weapon in a show of force.

Ores Nixon who is a Fanmi lavalas activist in the street was also present during the inauguration of Jocelerme Privert. According to Ores, "The last time I came to the palace was in 2003 when President Aristide was in power, now look at me, inside the national palace with a glass of champagne, celebrating the inauguration of our President Jocelerme Privert"

PM Evans Paul marginalized at Jocelerme Privert' investiture

Just like most Haitians, yesterday (February 14, 2016) I was watching the ceremony of investiture of Jocelerme Privert as the Provisional President of Haiti. Like many I suppose, I was very surprised to see some of the hard core oppositions present at the ceremony such as Maryse Narcissi and Mildred Aristide. But to me it was even more surprising to see Prime Minister being marginalized as he was standing in the crowd just like everyone else listening to the President. Some people said that it was nothing because all the dignitaries were there including all the ministers.

G8, Fanmi Lavalas Reject Commission of Electoral Evaluation

On Thursday, December 17, President Martelly ordered to create a special "Commission of Electoral Evaluation" under section 136 of the Constitution and the Decree of 17 May 2005. The commission would assess the situation of the country's upcoming electoral process scheduled on December 27th, within the next 3 days and will report the commission with necessary recommendation. The creation of the commission has been announced by the Prime Minister Evans Paul through a press note. However, the G8, Fanmi Lavalas and other opposition parties have said this Commission on Electoral Evaluation does not meet their main demand of an independent inquiry commission to investigate the alleged frauds concerning the Minutes of the of October 25th election and the preliminary presidential election results.

G8 and Fanmi Lavalas reject Commission of Electoral Evaluation

The current political crisis in Haiti has reached an unprecedent level. The creation of an evaluation commission was supposed to facilitate the electoral process; however, somehow it has managed to make things worst. Now both the Group G8 with jude Celestin and Fanmi Lavalas rejected the Commission of Evaluation. they actually consider this action as the latest manouver by the president and are calling on the Haitian population for keep the pressure on the government.

The group G8 said that the learned the formation of a commission via the news media. They also stated that they noted that the request for the formation of a commission came from the CEP but the request was never made public. Both G8 and Fanmi lavalas feel that both the Executive and the CEP that are at the origin of this commission are part of the current problem and that it is unthinkable to have them engaged in the formation of a commission to impose a solution to the problem.

More protests by Lavalas, G8 moves into Dechoukaj mode

Fanmi lavalas as well as the group G8 are preparing for more disturbances in Haiti for the coming days. Fanmi lavalas announced two days of protest for today (12/3/15) and Saturday in the objective to continue to demand that the CEP respect the votes of the population. They intend to join their efforts with the G8 who also announced two days of protest for today and Saturday as well. In addition to the two day protest, the group G8 has also announced a strike for Monday, December 7. They are demanding the departure of the government of Michel Martely.

BCEN authorized verification at the Tabulation Center Vote

The BCEN has authorized verification at the Tabulation Center Vote by Maryse Narcisse and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau. Both of them were told to come on Thursday to conduct their verification. While Candidate Cluny took the BCEN on his words and went to do the verification as requested, candidate Maryse Narcisse told BCEN to hold his horse. She want to have enough time to build a competent team to do that and scheduled her verification for Saturday, November 21. According to Moise Jean Charle, he was also invited by the BCEN to verify the minutes at the tabulation center, declined the invitation. Jude Célestin on the other hand said that he was not contacted.

Maryse Narcisse, Vilaire Cluny Duroseau challenge election results

Out of all those who denounced the election results of November 5, only two candidates have taken actions. Fanmi Lavalas candidate, Dr. Maryse Narcisse and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau filed claims to contest the results before the deadline.

The BCED will hear both cased today (11/10/15). The protest period for the presidential election results had a 72 hour window which stated last Thursday and ended yesterday at 5 PM. Vilaire Cluny Duroseau doesn't agree with the number of votes attributed to him based on the number of "Proce Verbal" he has on hand. Maryse Narcisse complained about the election frauds in favor of Jovenel Moise.
