Pierre Thomas, American football player with Haitian origin

Pierre Thomas is one of the successful professional American football players with Haitian origin. He is a running back for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League.

Alongside Pierre Garçon of the Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Vilma of the New Orleans Saints, Thomas is Haitian American Football player with a remarkable reputation. His career choice in American football was inspired by his mother and cousin. He has also drawn a lot of inspiration from his hero Barry Sanders, former running back for the Detroit Lions.

Quincy Douby, NBA basketball player

Quincy Douby is one of the few Haitian-American basketball players who have made a great career out of his great playing modes. He was born in the states though his parents had moved into the states from Haiti during one of those high tempered political moments when everyone's lives were in danger. They had therefore decided to flee to safety and thus ended up in the states.

Quincy Douby attended college at Rutgers where he joined the college`s basketball team and where he recorded a great show of talent. As a freshman at Rutgers, Douby scored 35 points to lead the team to an overtime victory in the NIT semifinal game. This led to hi naming in the Big East All-Rookie Team by the end of his freshman year.

He is an American football player of a Haitian descent. Pierre Garcon was born in America though his parents were from Haiti where they had moved to the US during one of the political situations in the country which were very common during the days. They had immigrated to the US seeking refuge and had their children born there.

Pierre Garcon is one of the famous football players known all over the country out of his abilities and exceptional talent. He plays for the Washington Redskins of the National Football Leagueevent since being drafted in 2008 by the NFL. He attended high school at John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres, Floridawhere he participated in various co-curricularactivities all involving sports such as soccer, tracks and American football.

Max Jean-Gilles, Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard

Max Jean-Gilles is an American football guard who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He is born of Haitian parents but was born in the US. This was during one of those times when the country of Haiti was experiencing a great deal of problems with its leaders leading to constant attacks and demonstrations and dictator leaders who made most of the citizens to seek refuge in the only places they could get safety.

They thus moved into the US where Max Jean-Gilles was born and raised. He has grown to know and love the game of football where he has shown exceptional talent and where he has shown a great deal of talent. He attended college at the University of Georgia where he also joined the football team and where he nurtured his talent in playing the game.

Louis Delmas, professional football player for the Detroit Lions

Louis Delmas is one of the Haitian born stars in the American football teams. He was born in America but his parents were from Haiti who had moved into the states in one of the many political imbalances that used to rock the country during the early years. He has been able to present a great show of abilities in the football games where he has had a great career ever since being drafted into the Detroit national football team.

In his young years Louis Delmas attended school at Miami Beach high school where he had joined the school team and where he began nurturing his career and talent. He was able to easily make the best of it until eventually he got so good at it he just had to be drafted into the 2009 NFL draft.

Mario Antoine Elie, American basketball Player

Mario Antoine Elie was born on 26th November 1963 in New York City. He had a brother named Clark. His sister is named Nancy. Mario is remembered as a legendary in American basketball. He has been a professional basketball player and a coach at different times in his life. He is currently the assistant coach for the New Jersey Nets.

Mario Antoine Elie has his name Mario adopted from the famous opera singer Mario Lanza. Elie was raised up in New York but he is of Haitian heritage. As soon as he graduated from college his father passed on. Elie lost his brother Clark too in a car accident in 2009. Clark was also a basketball player though not at a professional level.

Mario Elie is one of the Haitian nationalities who have made it big in the US. He was born in Haiti but raised in the US since his parents had moved into the country as they tried to seek refuge during one of the political momentums in Haiti where there were constant attacks and demonstrations. He grew up to be a great basketball player where he made it a hobby which eventually turned out to be a career.

Elie has over the years been engaged to the game both as a player and as a coach hence has a lot of experience in the basketball game. He at first got drafted into the NBA in the season of 1990-91 playing three games for the Philadelphia 76ers, while on a 10-day contract. He then proceeded to some other clubs and teams where he got to be largely and widely known for his abilities where he showed off what he can do and what his real talent is in the field.

Jerrod Laventure, soccer player with Haitian roots

Jerrod Laventure currently plays professional American soccer for Jersey Express. The American footballer has Haitian roots. He began his football career while still in college and has developed to a professional footballer currently playing in the USL Premier Development League.

Jerrod Laventure was born in January 15, 1983. His birth place is the Middle Island in New York. He played college soccer at Seton Hall University. His college soccer success earned him a place in the Big East first team in 2005 after registering 8 goals and 6 assists. He joined MLS Player Combine and played for the Metro Stars reserve team.

Jonathan Vilma, Haitian American football player

After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, he launched The Jonathan Vilma Foundation. The foundation was made to help rebuild the country of Haiti and in particular to help provide basic education to the youth of Haiti. Though he is a successful American football linebacker, Jonathan Polynice Vilma has his native nation Haiti at heart.

Vilma currently plays for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was born on April 16, 1982 in Coral Gables, Florida. His parents are natives of Haiti who had migrated to the United States in 1970.

Jozy Altidore is one of the players in the US football national team. He is a great player who has had his own share of glorious moments. He is born of Haitian parents but in the US such that he is an American citizen. He has had various moments which he has made so greatly in the various football clubs he has played for.

Jozy Altidore is currently in the club Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar in the US while at the same time he is a US national team player. He began his career at a very tender age of 16 when he was picked out as the 17th to play for MetroStars now the New York Red Bulls where he traded up to receive the selection.
