Haitian physician Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste received Harvard Medical School award

Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste was honored with this prize because of outstanding teaching performance in primary care clerkship of Cambridge Health Alliance and its Cambridge Integrated Clerkship or CIC of Harvard Medical School. CIC was launched in 2004 and it is the medical school's principal medical year's complete redesign. The CIC is considered to be a national and international model for reforms in clinical education.

The CIC program is designed to provide the students with a practical-based learning curve where they stay in close contact with the patients through the stages of diagnostics and treatment that covers all stages of patient care and promotes professionalism, connection with the patients and empathy.

As a mentor, Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste provides proper guide to the future physicians and provide them with proper education. She also plays role model for the physicians of next generation through her own practices. She graduated to Haiti Medical School's State University and from Cambridge Hospital, she received her training in internal medicine.

Currently Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste works as medical director of Healthcare for the Homeless Program of Cambridge Health Alliance and also as a primary physician at Windsor Street Health Center of Cambridge Health Alliance.
