Lambert who was previously the senator of South-East and is a family man said that his detractors have used Photoshop or similar image manipulating software to create fake images and attack him. These attacks come, says Lambert, because he is very strong contender of legislative elections that are coming up.

President Michel Martelly endorsed Joseph Lambert, the senatorial candidate. Lambert spoke on Scoop FM along with host of the show, Garry Pierre Paul Charles. Lambert said that this attack is nothing more than a silly act, which will only improve his image in the South.

On Wednesday, 22nd May, 2013, the photo showing Joseph Lambert, advisor to President Martelly, with a woman barely half the age of Lambert was posted on the Facebook Page of Defend Haiti. This photo did not really keep the critics silent. The critics of Martelly administration said that the image is an example of how the Martelly administration spends the dollars collected from the tax payers of the Republic of Haiti.

It must be mentioned that on 9th May, 2013, the public prosecutor's office called Joseph Lambert to answer the criminal complaints filed against him. The complaints were filed by the two deputies Saurel Jacinthe and Levaillant Louis-Jeune. The deputies said that Lambert had threatened to kill them.
