Chef Jose Andres Hopes to Increase Travel to Haiti

Chef Jose Andres believes that Haitian cuisine has enough potential to pull more tourists to the country. Its exquisiteness can inspire more travelers to visit the country. For a one-hour film special called "Undiscovered Haiti with Jose Andres" on the PBS station he had to spend time with local chefs and markets and taste the island's specialties. José Andrés or José Ramón Andrés Puerta is a Spanish American chef who has association and ownership with several restaurants; he is an author and recipient of many prestigious awards. He believes that Haiti is a wonderful country; the adventurous travelers can find here " the best of the Caribbean, the best of Africa, the best of America ... all here," They can visit a hilltop fortress, or hunt for crabs on the sea beach or attend a voodoo ceremony and taste the delicacy of Haitian culinary art... all in one trip in Haiti only!!!
