New Finance, Communication Ministers: Wilson Laleau and Josette Darguste

On the other hand, Regine Godefroy who resigned from the post of Communication minister will be replaced by Josette Darguste, the current Culture Minister for Haiti. Both these appointments made by Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe were approved by Haitian President Michel Martelly. The statement about this confirmation was issued from the office of Prime Minister.

These new appointments to the posts of Finance Minister and Communication Minister are new additions to the current portfolios of the newly appointed ministers and these new appointments will stay enforced until any further notice from the office of Prime Minister.

Currently appointed Communication Minister, Josette Darguste, was previously appointed as Culture Minister in January when the Cabinet reshuffling took place. Prior to her appointment as Culture Minister, Josette Darguste held Tourism Ministry's Director General's post. It was declared in a statement from the office of the Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe that apart from the new appointments, all other Secretaries of State and Ministers will stay in their current positions until any further notifications.

On the wake of these new changes in Martelly-Lamothe administration, it will be interesting to see who Haitian economy progresses and whether it will be able to break free from the shackles of poverty or not!
