Why wasn't Jean Bertrand Aristide Present in Gonaives?

The 210th Anniversary Of Haiti Independence was celebrated in Gonaives with many dignitaries present in Gonaives for the occasion. In a sign of unity, president Michel Martelly had invited several former Haitian presidents to join him in Gonaives for the occasion. Unfortunately, only two showed up: Jean Claude Duvalier and Prosper Avril.


Why is that?

Mwen konnin Prezidan Mangat pa pote li byen. Min, ti tonton yo bay pou Aristid la, pouki sa li pa te nan ceremoni sa?

Eske nou panse se paseke li pa te vle rankontre avek moun tankou Jean Claude Duvalier ou byen Prosper Avril? Pètet li pa te vle moun ouè lape ba moun sa yo lanmin

I think Jean Bertrand Aristide don't want to remind the history of Amiot Metayer.

The people resident of Raboteau never forget this guy. I know if he was there they could express their dissactifaction.
