Haiti Police Chief Godson Orelus rewarded by PHTK

Since the decision of President Michel Martelly to issue a decree renewing the mandate of Haiti Police Chief Godson Orelus for another three years, rumors have not stopped. Many people think that the PNH has not been neutral under Godson Orelus and the decree issued recently to renew the Police Chief for another three years is just a payment for his support to the government and Tet Kale in particular.

Nothing could be more obvious of the dependency of the Haiti Police force to the current Tet kale regime than the decision of Godson Orelus to wear pink in support to Tet kale (PHTK).

Haiti Police chief Godson Orelus Reappointed for another three years

Whether or not you agree with the performance of the Director General of Haiti National Police (PNH), Mr. Godson Orelus for the past three years, I guess it doesn't matter much. President Michel Martelly just gave him another mandate to continue as the head of the PNH for the next three years.

Jean Bertrand Aristide to be brought to Judge Lamarre Berlizaire soon

As the Presidential candidates in Haiti are getting ready to open their campaign it is likely that the focus will be on former President Jean Bertrand Aristide. In a hearing conducted last Thursday, Haiti Police Chief Gordon Orelus gave judge Lamarre Belizaire full guarantee that Former President Jean Bertrand Aristide will be brought to him. Not only that will happen, but this will take place very soon.

This information was obtained from Haitian-Caribbean News Network (HCNN), a well connected but reliable source.

Mr. Aristide has a warrant issued against him as well as several other suspects. Mr. Godson Orelus told judge Belizaire that the warrant will be executed. He has been accused for corruption, drug trafficking and money laundering.

Haiti Police Chief, Godson Orelus has declared war on bandits

Chief of Police, Godson Orelus said that the PNH has been mobilized to bring an answer to the new wave of insecurity in Haiti. All leave requests form Police officers have been cancelled and all officers will be use to bring reinforcement

Talking to journalists from the headquarter of the PNH, Godson Orelus has declared war on the bandits. According to him, when Police Officers become victims, we will put all our resources behind this fight.

It is estimated that over 80% of of the current crimes are made by former inmates. The Police Chief said that they are aware of the problem. Haiti prison system is not adequate, not enough prison or prison cells are available

Extraction Order issued to escort Jean-Bertrand Aristide to Court Tomorrow

When you think things are settled in the case of Jean Bertrand Aristide, something unexpected arises. Former President Jean Bertrand Aristide is expected o be in court tomorrow, Friday October 10, 2014, whether he wants it or not. According to HCNN, Judge Lamarre Belizaire just issued an extraction order to the Police Chief Godson Orelus to make certain that the Haitian Police bring Mr. Aristide on that date.

The Order of extraction has for objective to ensure that the police brings the former Haitian President in front of him on Friday, at 10:00 am.

24th promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) - Video

Here is the video for the official ceremony of the graduation ceremony for the 24th promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). The ceremony took place at the Police Academy in Frères

A total of 1,058 new police officers were part of the 24th Promotion. The new graduates include 114 women

Present at the ceremony was: President Michel Martelly, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the President of the Senate, Simon Dieuseul Desras, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Me Jean Tholbert Alexis, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti, Godson Orélus and the Divisional Commissioner Francène Moreau.
