Jonas Coffy replaced Rudy Heriveaux at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor

The leader of Party Ayisyen pou Ayiti, Jonas Coffy has been named to head the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor,
replacing Rudy Heriveaux. Both individuals have a Fanmi Lavalas background.

As early as few weeks ago, the president of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes, Robert Fritz St. Paul, Ariel Joseph Jean and Saint-Just Momprevil informed the press that they were in the process of bringing a lawsuit against Jonas Coffy for defamation after the later had accused them on a radio station of receiving bribed by René Préval in the case of Jacky Lumarque.

Andre Michel and Rudy Heriveaux engaged in name calling on Ranmase

I was listening to the popular Radio show Ranmase on Saturday, September 26, 2015 and what I heard in the mouth of two so called professional politicians was unbelievable. At one point in a discussion between the tho guesses, Me Andre Michel and Rudy Heriveaux, all notions of decency were out of the window. For a moment, I thought I was in the middle of "Mache La Croix-des-Bossales" witnessing an argument between a typical buyer and seller.

My question is that has Radio show Ranmase been transformed into a Mud bath?

Rudy Herivaux Accuses Media of Driving a Disinformation Campaign

On Thursday, April 3, 2014, Dr. Rudy Hérivaux, a former senator and leader of Confidence Party has accused the press for driving a "purposeful disinformation campaign" to defame the government and "polluting" the political field. Although the press has achieved democratic status, it is a fact that there are very few good reporting and devoted political analysts among the news correspondents. When they do not get enough political ingredients to serve an entertaining item, fill the plate with football spices and serve as an item of political menu.

Dr. Hérivaux has been installed as the new Minister of Communication in place of the outgoing minister Josette Darguste. Mrs. Darguste has described the new minister as a personality with excellent communication skills.
Haiti's Lavalas movement took birth in the 1980s during the struggle against the Duvalier dictatorship. The Fanmi Lavalas or Lavalas Family strongly supports every public declaration which comes from any of its representative family members. Their movements were nurtured mostly by some Catholic priests, under the direction of Father Aristide from his Salesian parish of St. Jean Bosco in the Port-au-Prince. There are two branches of Lavalas Family: one is headed by Annettet Auguste, Yvon Neptune (former head of government), and Senator Yvon Buissereth as members whereas the other is run under the leadership of Senator Rudy Hérivaux and Maryse Narcisse.

He is a member and section supremo of Fanmi Lavalas or Lavalas Family. Recently, Dr. Hérivaux came to the headline for his comment on the quality of reporting by the press where he accused the media for driving disinformation campaigns. During the installation ceremony, he has said that as the new Minister of Communication, his main task will be to stop every infernal mechanical disinformation and make proper representation of every important government policy and action to the people. A good relationship between the State and media is very essential for coexistence. He has no intention ever to silence or ignore the role of media in the country.

The work of the Monitoring Committee of the inter Haitian dialogue must go on. God luck to those who have joined the government of open, government of job opening, or government of closure as some may refer to. However, we at the Monitoring Committee have much more to do.

With the new appointment of Mr. Osner Févry of the National Coalition of Political Parties Non-Aligned Movement of the Democratic Centre (CONACED) , Mr. Jeantel Joseph National Consortium of Political Parties, and Joseph Enold the Konvansyon inite Demokratik to replace former Senator Rudy Hérivaux, former colonel Himmler Rébu of GREH Party and Patrick SW Joseph, I feel that the committee is under great pressure to have things done.
