During her trip, she was wearing a T-shirt with the logo of her charity organization 'BEYGOOD', and met some of the earthquake affected people. While visiting some of the affected areas, she had actively directed her efforts for achieving further improvements. Her charity's mission strives for continuous awareness-- even the catastrophe of the recent earthquake in Nepal is not overlooked. Shortly after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the Council of Fashion Designers of America chose Beyoncé as the official face of their fundraising "Fashion for Haiti" T-shirt.
Her last trip to Haiti was in 2013 with her husband Jay-Z, following a controversial performance at a concert funded by Hannibal Qaddafi, a son of the former erratic and brutal Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi. She performed in a one-hour set of songs for the family of Libya's brutal dictator at the exclusive Nikki Beach club, in St. Barts on the New Year's Eve, December 31, 2009 for a reported fee of $2 million including the commissions paid to her booking agency. Following the criticisms, she made a $1 million donation for a good cause to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund in 2011.
