Lecsinel Jean-Francois, Football Player

He was born in Cayenne, French Guiana and began his football career in France. He played for the youthful teams of Paris Saint-Germain and CS Sedan Ardennes. Lecsinel Jean-Francois also played with Falkirk in the Scottish Premier League but left the club at the end of the season to play for En Avant de Guingamp, a Ligue 2 French club.

He did trials for Arbedeen during a pre-season friendly against Brechin City in July 2008. However, he did not win a contract with the club.

Lecsinel Jean-Francois played a reserve match against Swansea City in January 2009 for Swindon. Swindon head coach Danny Wilson was pleased by his services and offered him a contract for the 2008-2009 season. He made his first appearance for Swindon in February 2009. He made five appearances for the team in that season. His performance won him an extension for his contract to play for the Swindon team for the rest of the year.

Swindon eventually released Lecsinel Jean-Francois who later rejoined his former manager Danny Wilson at Sheffield United in June 2011.He made his début for Sheffield United away at Oldham Athletic. This was the first match of the season. Jean-François sustained a cruciate ligament injury later in March after playing several matches as a left back. He was ruled out for the rest of the 2011-2012 season.

Lecsinel Jean-Francois's parents are of Haitian origin. Therefore, Jean-François's is qualified to play for Haiti national football team. His form at Sheffield United caused his recall to Haiti national team to play against Antigua and Barbuda in 2011 for World Cup qualifiers.

His native nation funds from the game between his team Swindon Town and Leeds United was send to aid the rebuilding of Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
