Agreement - Haiti Observer Blog

After more than one month of long tense dialogue among Martelly administration and the representatives of different political parties in Haiti, a consensus has reached to held election from October 26, 2014. The concerned parties to the discussion have signed an agreement to this effect with some modifications to the original text. Senator Steven Benoit authorized by the President of the Senate signed on his behalf because he was absent due to travelling to Europe. Cardinal Chibly Langlois who was engaged as the mediator in the discussion from the beginning has informed President Michel Martelly of the whole process.
