Calendar for Elected parliamentary to pick-up certificate at the CEP

In preparation to the opening of the 50th legislative session scheduled for January 11, 2016, the elected Parliamentarians were invited to obtain their certificates which give them access to the Haitian parliament. Here is the time calendar as to when these elected officials can come to pick-up their Certificate.

All elected Senators can drop by between 8:30am and 3:30pm. For the elected Deputies, the schedule is as follows:
For Department: Ouest and Centre: 8:30am - 9:00am
For Sud-Est and Nippes: 9:15am - 10:am
For Nord and Nord-Est: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Artibonite and Nord-Ouest: 2:30pm - 3:30pm

CEP announces Final Presidential Election results

According to the CEP, Jovenel Moise and Jude Celestin will face each other in the run-off election on December 27, 2015. The announcement came on the same day the BCEN issued its verdict agreeing with the candidates who contest the results and ordered the Tabulization Center to revise the tabulation to include some "Proce Verbal". The opposition reacted immediately, planning mass demonstrations in the coming days. According to candidate Steven Benoit, there will be a reunion this afternoon by the members of the G8 and an announcement will be made immediately. He continues to ask for non-violence protest. Senator Moise Jean Charles is asking for protest, accusing the present government and a branch of the International community to reconsider their plan.

BCEN issues his verdict making Maryse Narcisse not so happy

The BCEN has issued its verdict in favor of the allegation of Candidates Maryse Narcisse and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau. Fifty(50) "Proce Verbal" randomly selected judged non conforming based on the irregularity observed by the BCEN. As a result the Tabulation center is ordered to conduct an new tabulation, taking into consideration these "Proce Verval". In regard to the demand of Maryse Narcisse for the exclusion of candidate Jovenel Moise and the elimination of the entire electoral process, they have been rejected by the BCEN. As you may remember, out of all those who denounced the election results of November 5, only Dr. Maryse Narcisse and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau filed claims to contest the results before the deadline.

CEP rejects requests for an independent commission

I don't understand this one. After a group of candidates had been saying that they want the formation of an independent commission to verify the preliminary election results. Knowing well the demand of these candidates, the CEP has decided to meet with eight of these candidates. After the well publicized meeting between the CEP and the G8, the CEP has decided to flatly reject their request.

I really don't understand this. Here is what the CEP comes up with: "the law doesn't grant us the authority to do so". In a letter signed by the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Pierre Louis Opont, the council holds the position that there is no provision in the electoral decree for the formation of an independent commission to review the results.

Municipal election results of October 25, 2015 released by CEP

In the middle of controversy and fraud allegation, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has released the preliminary results of the municipal elections for 140 communes. Some of the most remarkable and interesting are: Joseph Pierre Richard Duplan who became the new mayor of Port-au-Prince. Wilson Jeudy was re-elected as Mayor of Delmas. In the city of Les Cayes, Jean-Gabriel Fortune has become the new Mayor.

Below is a partial list of the results:

Port-au-Prince: Joseph Pierre Richard Duplan (PHTK) with 14.06%

Delmas: Wilson Jeudy (Randevous) with 21.16%,

Pétion-ville, Dominique Saint Roc (UNDH) with 14.56%,

CEP admitted to massive election fraud, what should be done?

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) made clear that after investigation and analysis that there were massive fraud in the last election. A list of various frauds were identified including actual votes superior to the voters of BV, number of National Identification Card (CIN) being different from that of the votes. In addition, the CEP found missing data with false CIN; in several BV, the minutes did nor correspond with the tally sheet. There were tricks in the way the votes were being counted: some of the results were entered in letter which did not correspond with the digits. Some PV were found with no LEP and much more.

Maryse Narcisse, Vilaire Cluny Duroseau challenge election results

Out of all those who denounced the election results of November 5, only two candidates have taken actions. Fanmi Lavalas candidate, Dr. Maryse Narcisse and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau filed claims to contest the results before the deadline.

The BCED will hear both cased today (11/10/15). The protest period for the presidential election results had a 72 hour window which stated last Thursday and ended yesterday at 5 PM. Vilaire Cluny Duroseau doesn't agree with the number of votes attributed to him based on the number of "Proce Verbal" he has on hand. Maryse Narcisse complained about the election frauds in favor of Jovenel Moise.

Election Results for Senators, Deputies have been released

We just received information that the Preliminary results of the elections have been released. The elections on October 25, 2015 was supposed to determine the composition of the Haitian. Here is what the Haitian Senate will look look like if there are no objections :

Nord-Ouest: Onondieu, Louis
Nord: Nawoom, Marcellus
Nord-Est: Ronald, Lareche
Artibonite: Carl Murat, Cantave
Centre: Willot, Joseph
Ouest: Antonio, Cheramy
Sud-Est: Dieupie, Cherubin
Nipples: Nenel, Cassy
Sud: Jean-Marie Junior, Salomon
Grand Anse: Guy Philippe

We will know today our next President or the final two

Friday, Pierre-Louis Opont, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), has again confirmed the date of Tuesday, November 3, 2015 for the publication of preliminary results of the elections of 25 October. What should expect? Do you think the results will be satisfactory to everyone?

Did you know that Leon Manus is dead?

Leon Manus, former President of the CEP died on Friday, October 26, 2012 in New Hampshire in United states. This news really revived a period in Haiti of significant importance.

Do you remember that in turn of this century, Leon Manus fled to the United States while he was in charge of CEP in Haiti. He feared for his life after he did not agree to approve results of a contested legislative and local elections.

Publication of the results of the May 21 election has been delayed, with opposition parties charging that the voting and the count were fixed to ensure a huge victory for the Lavalas Family party of the country's former president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
