Haitians Honored for commitment and consistency in 2013

Several individuals in Haiti have been commended by parliament for their hard work and perseverance in being strong contenders for freedom of speech, press, equalitarianism, etc.

They are: Frantz Duval, Emmelie Prophet Milce Jean Tholbert Alexis Simon Dieuseul Desras Gary Pierre-Paul Charles, Anthony Pascal aka"Konpè Filo" Marie Lucie Bonhomme and Me Carlos Hercules and Francis Concite

These individuals received plates of honor for their promotion of these freedoms and rule of law in their country. Two branches of parliament have deemed these individuals brave peace workers who would step forth when many others may have been too timid.

Is Mario Andresol on House Arrest?

What happens with the Former Director General of the National Police of Haiti?

There have been numerous rumors on the web that Mr. Mario Andresol has been under House Arrest in Haiti and is not able to live the country.

What does Mario Andresol have to say on that? "I am not on house arrest", according to the former DG of Haiti National Police in an interview with reporter Marie Lucie Bonhomme on Radio Vision 2000

Mario Andresol denied any rumor about being under House Arrest. He mentioned that these rumors circulating on social networks such as tweeter, facebook and BBM that he would be under house arrest and under investigation by the U.S. FBI. have no foundation

Radio Vision 2000, Marie Lucie Bonhomme, Valery Numa, Daly Valet

The Port-au-Prince broadcast radio station, Radio Vision 2000, is undergoing a significant change with the departure of one iconic host and the return of another. After over a decade as an anchorman for the radio station, Valéry Numa has decided to leave his home on the 99.3 FM frequency and take up residence on his own 88.9 station, FM Platinum.

Among his other endeavors are the newsman's hotel, Kickback, and other business holdings in the South Haiti locale, Camp Perrin, from where his radio station will be broadcast. The goal is for FM Platinum to reach 18 southern towns by way of relay through other radio programs, a 'first' as announced by Valery. His last broadcast on the program he is known for, 'Guest of the Day', will be broadcast on Friday, September 2nd, after which the prodigal journalist, Marie-Lucie Bonhomme will return to host the popular show.
