The new Minister Monique Rocourt assured that her focus will remain on the young minds who have always remained the hope of the nation. They have always preserved and enhanced the artistic heritage, literature, architecture, tradition and subtle cultures of the country. Her transition will be smooth because she will rely on every necessary support from the outgoing minister in the coming days. She expressed her thanks to the colleagues at ISPAN who have worked effectively on numerous dream projects before in spite of many pitfalls and obstacles in the past and have welcomed her as the General Director of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage.
The installation of Monique Rocourt came in a process of reshuffle announced by the President earlier on April 2, 2014, as part of a recent agreement between the President and different political players in the country. The newly appointed ministers are:
Duly Brutus (Foreign Affairs), Francois Guillaume (Haitians Residents Abroad), Himler Rebu (Youth and Sports), Lener Renauld (Defense), Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie (Economy), Monique Rosann (Culture), Nesmy Manigat (Education), Patrick Joseph Sully (Political Parties Reinforcement), Reginald Delva (interior) and Rudy Heriveaux (Communication).
