Patrice Neveu, New National Football Coach of Haiti

Neveu started his long career as a football manager with AS Saint Martin in June 1989. His longest involvement so far as manager was with Fontenay-Foot-Vendée and that was his second appointment to such capacity where he remained for 7 years (1991 to 1998). As a football manager, his preferred formation is 4-3-3, and his success rates as a football coach with Wins/ Draws/, & Losses are, 46.2%/ 21.2%, & 32.6% respectively. After his retirement as a player, he has managed both clubs and National sides like Niger (1999), Guinea (2004- 2006), DR Congo (2008- 2010), Mauritania (2012- 2014), etc. His previous engagement prior to this attachment to Haiti was with Mauritania since August 2014. Some of the clubs that he was attached with include Fontenay-Foot-Vendée (France, 1991- 1998), FC Angoulême (France, 1998- 1999), and Fath Union Sport (Morocco, 1999- 2000), Dalian Shide football club (China, 2002), Shanghai Pudong (China, 2002- 2004), Ismaily (Egypt, 2007).
On Tuesday morning, December 22nd, a final contract was signed at the Marriott Hotel in Turgeau between the FHF and Patrice Neveu, in the presence of Haitian football sponsors Minister of Youth and Sports and Digicel Company. The new national coach will be assisted by two French national coaches: Nicolas Santucci (goalkeeping coach) and Thomas Joubert (physical trainer). The new coach will meet his first challenge when Haitians will face Trinidad & Tobago on January 8, 2016 as part of the "Copa America Centenario" in the U.S.
