The difference between Haitians and Dominicans is purely cultural.

Haitians are raised to be open to other cultures, to accept who they are and be connected to their origin.

Just like Dominicans, Haitians are a combination of several group such as Indian, African, European, and more. Dominicans on the other hand are tough at an early age to reject anything that is black.

It remains an issue in present-day Dominican Republic
