The history of Haitian art. It includes the influence of African, French, Catholic, and tribal and Vodou culture.
This art is very closely related to the culture of the people of Haiti.
Many of the artists in Haiti vary in style based on the part of Haiti they come from. We have different schools of painting such as the Cap-Haïtien school, the Jacmel School or the Saint-Soleil School, which is characterized by abstracted human forms and is heavily influenced by Vodou symbolism
