L'Affair Jean Dominique, Court date for Rene Preval, March 7, not Jean Bertrand Aristide

After the historic court presentation of Former Haitian Dictator Jean Claude Duvalier last week which brought lots of comments, it is now the time for another Former Haitian President to face the Haitian justice. According to information obtained, former President Rene Preval has been invited by judge Ivikel Dabrésil to answer some questions regarding the assassination in April 2000 of journalist Jean Léopold Dominique. The court date is set for March 7th, 2013 or exactly one week after Jean Claude Duvalier court Date.

This has been one of the longest investigations in the history of Haiti. Many important personalities have already been heard in regard to the investigation into the death of Jean Dominique. Some of the people who have already been heard include: Michele Montas, the widow of Jean Dominique, the former chief of the National Police Mario Andresol and former Prime Minister Yvon Neptune.

Parsley Massacre - Slaughtering of Haitians By The Dominicans

Haiti was under military occupation for around 19 years. In the Dominican Republic from 2nd October 1937 to 4th October 1937 fifteen thousand to twenty thousand immigrant workers from Haiti were massacred. Machetes and bayonets were used to slaughter them by big landowners and the army in Dominican Republic.

Pitchforks were used to spear women and heads of infants were smashed against the walls. No firearms were used in the Parsley Massacre. The ones who tried to escape were captured at the border and then killed.

Ruelle Vaillant Massacre

With the active complicity of Haiti's armed forces, the paramilitary neo-Duvalier sabotaged post Duvalier's first ballot. The country would be able to select leaders democratically by this ballot. In Port-au-Prince at the Ruelle Vaillant alley 20 voters were sadly murdered.

Effect of the Terror Wave
The terror wave or a thunderbolt from the sky on 29th November 1987 affected the Artibonite and other departments. This massacre announced the country's general context of 26th April 1986 or in 22nd June 1987 to 29th November 1987.

General Henri Namphy, chairman of the National Council of Government was not in favor of the electoral process. Through different measures he demonstrated this which escaped the Army's control. He got his own writ published on 22nd June 1987 by ignoring the 1987 constitution.
