Actually your president and his staff have been working on this issue.
I know because I have been in some of the meetings in the USA to being the necessary technologies, equipment and financing to Haiti.
He's not wrong and they are not lying.
There is a solid plan to achieve this in the works using the latest technologies which leap past wind and solar by several decades.
