Breaking News - Minibus accident at avenue Poupelard, 8 in very serious condition

The CPD, officers of the National Police and of the Stabilization mission of the UN (Minustah) reported that a accident involving a Minibus caused 24 injuries. Eight of the victims are in a very critical state. The injured people were transported to the Hospital of the State University of Haiti to receive care.

As it is often the case, the reason for this accident was "Brake system failure". The minibus involved in the accident ensures daily transportation between Delmas and Portail Léogâne. The people that were struck include passer-bys, and the merchants of the place.

Accident near Fond Parisien, 12 people have died

A cargo truck accident last Tuesday night near the town of Fond Parisien in Haiti took the lives of 12 people. Twenty four others were injured and taken to a hospital nearby for care.

According to Haiti's Civil Protection Office, the cargo truck was also carrying passengers. The truck came from the village of Thiotte in direction to the capital city of Port-au-Prince and was loaded with carrots.

The passengers were riding on top of the merchandise when the accident happened.

This is yet another fatal road accident in Haiti likely caused by an overloaded vehicle.

40 people drown when bus overturns in Glace River, near Pestel Haiti

A bus overturned on Monday 18th June 2012 in flooded Glace River in the southern area of Haiti and near the town of Pestel. Since the accident officials have been issuing contradictory reports regarding the number of people who were aboard and the number who died.

The bus accident took place somewhere near the town of Pestel. The town is located on Haiti's southern peninsula. The director of civil protection of Haiti, Marie Alta Jean-Baptiste, was reported saying that the driver of the bus had received warnings against crossing the rain swollen Glace River.

Haiti truck accident in Morne Tapion, at least 27 people dead and 40 others injured

A truck accident took place late on Saturday afternoon. The truck was carrying small retail traders, many of them women, tipped over near Morne Tapion. At least 27 people were confirmed dead and 40 others injured. It was reported that many were crushed to death. The injured individuals were taken to Notre-Dame de Petit-Goave hospital.

According to Haitian authority, the truck's breaks failed in the hills close to the town of Petit Goave.

Car Accident in front of Television National (TN), over 20 dead and 50 injured

We just learned a terrible accident happened in Port-au-Prince yesterday, January 16, 2012. This took place in Delmas 33 in front of Television National D'Haiti (TNH).

A truck transporting sands, unable to find its break, took the live of many people as it was going down the hill. The truck finally stopped in front of the Television National D'Haiti. As the truck was going down, it took everything that was in its path, including people who were selling inthe streets.

Preliminary results put the total number of people who died so far at 20 and the toll is expected to go up. Over 50. People are reported injured Update: as of Tuesdat, 5:00pm the number of dead is 33 and is expected to rise

Valery Numa of Vision 200 in a Coma following major Car accident in Morne Preval

We just learned a major car accident involving the journalist and radio personality from Vision 2000. Acording to Radio Caraibes Valery Numa was badly injured and is now in a coma as a result of the accident. Radio Caraibes reported that the car accident took place on Monday, December 26, 2011 in Morne Preval. Valery Numa was found unconscious at the site of the accident. He was transported to a hospital where he is currently receiving care.

At the time of this report, Valery Numa did not regain consciousness. He remains in Coma.

Prime Minister Garry Conille involved in Car accident in Laboule

How can this happen? The car brakes of the head of of Haiti government failed. According to the report, it happened in the location of Laboule near port -au-Prince when the car that was taking Prime Minister Garry Conille got into an accident. The accident was not serious and Prime Minister Garry Conille was not hurt.

Mr. Conille, as head of government, I would advise that you go and find out what's going on.

Haitian airline crashed near Cap-Haitian, Three people dead

Breaking News. The "Haitian Joudalist" just learned that a domestic airline just crashed as it was preparing to land in Cap-Haitian. Haitian authorities reported that the landing was taking place during a rain storm.

According to the authorities, the airplane only had the two pilots and one passenger and all three were found dead.

At this time if we receive any more information about the Airplane crash in Haiti, we will let you know.

In summary, what we know is that the domestic airline was in route to the City of Cap-haitian. It crashed and killed thw pilots and the only passenger in the airplanes

Boat accident near la Gonave, Haiti. Five dead and Five rescued

Heavy wind and high waves sank a boat in Haiti, killing five people. According to the Associated Press, the incident happened on Monday night as the Haitians boat left the island of La Gonave. The ferry was transporting charcoal and banana as it was reported.

For the history, in May, 2008, at least 11 Haitians died after a passenger ferry capsized off southern Haiti.

In February, 1993, a heavily overloaded ferry sank in a storm off the coast of Haiti, drowning most of the 2,000 passengers believed aboard.

Bus accident around Les Cayes, 9 dead and 24 injured

Major traffic accident on Saturday. A Bus in direction to Jeremy, overturned as the bus slammed into a roadblock made by protesters. According to Police, these protesters were upset because they were not hired for a job to which they had applied for.

9 people were pronounced dead on impact and 24 injured were transported to a Hospital in Les Cayes.

A spokesman for the Department Direction of Civil Protection reported that 5 of the injured individuals received life threatened injuries.

Three people were immediately arrested for this accident.
