Don't you just get sick and tired about the usual pictures on Haiti on TV

I am getting sick and tired about the usual pictures that I see on TV, Newspaper, Youtube, and other medias whenever the Haiti subject comes up.

This is what I see for the most part: " We are doing a fundraising to buy shoes for Haitian children". "Donate so we can help the people of Haiti". "Fundraising to bring drinking water to Haiti". "Haiti the poorest nation in the western hemisphere".

The brothers have also built several private schools, a healthcare facility, a vocational- training institute, and an agriculture school. The cost to educate agriculture students is exorbitant by Haitian standards, $2,000 per student annually. And yet the brothers manage to keep it going, with about one-third of funding coming from the European Union, and the rest from GOH and international-aid donors.

Red Cross contemplating of investing money donated for Haiti

Well, if I told you that an organization whose core business is to provide aid to those in distress while relying on donor funding is thinking of investing that very money, you would probably say that am out of my mind.

Right?

How do you even explain that idea to people who gave willingly because they had a desire to alleviate the suffering of some individuals?
