Father of Cap-Haitian Football, Paul Calixte - Dead

In high-school sports, no one is more revered, respected, and loved than Paul Calixte. Born to a privileged family in Cap-Haitien, he studied at Les Freres de l'Instruction Chretienne Grade School and graduated from College Notre Dame High School. After his studies, he remained as an instructor at College Notre Dame. He won his first of five football championships in 1972 that encouraged him to form the Football Inter-Club Association.

As a coach Paul Calixte believes in developing well-rounded personalities. He places just as much emphasis on grades as he does on winning a game. For half-a-century he has taught in high schools in Haiti and mentored scores of students through the thorny teen years.

College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian

College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian is Roman Catholic private primary and secondary school for males only. Congregation of Holy Cross in Cap-Haïtien established the school is Haiti in the year 1904. 4 secular Catholic Priest originally ruled the school but the Brothers of Christian Instruction also presided over the school. The Brothers of Christian Instruction also presided over various educational institutions of religious foundation spread through the island country. Over 90% of the College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours, Cap-Haitian attend some institution for higher education of which, the Universite Notre Dame d'Haiti is the most prominent one.

College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours - Cap-Haitien

The all-male private Roman Catholic primary and secondary school is located on the top of a mountain dominating the city. It was founded in 1904 by the Congregation of Holy Cross.

This school has a long history with the city of cap-Haitian. An entrance exam is required before you can be admitted to the school in order to maintain the academic quality.

Some of the most famous and successful people in the entire region were educated there. College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours has produced religious, political figures and former Presidents. Former President of Haiti Jean-Bertrand Aristide was at one point a student at College Notre Dame Du Perpetuel Secours.
