Haiti will get Cholera vaccination starting April 2011

Teams of the World Health Organization of will start the vaccination in the Artibonite region, where the first case of cholera was reported and also in the region where most people have been affected by the disease.
The cholera outbreak has become a major problem for Haiti in the same year this small island nation was hit by a catastrophic earthquake that killed over 230,000 people. More than 91,000 people have been affected by the disease and over 3000 people killed. The cholera outbreak is threatening the Dominican Republic, with cholera cases reported in two of the largest cities.
