President Michel Martelly inaugurated the Public Square of Pignon

Dioda Calixte, the Mayor of Pignon congratulated and welcome President Martelly during the event and called him as a President with great vision. The President also received expressions of appreciation from Deputy Hidson Nelson. Nelson appreciated Martelly for all his achievements and especially for the Public Square.
The residents of Pignon complained about the conditions of the region. To answer those grievances, major construction works like National Lycee, public market and a football field are under progress. Access to clean and safe drinking water is also considered seriously and the President Michel Martelly asked the citizens of Pignon to stay calm. He also assured them that investors will be encouraged to come to the country and that he is trying to create more jobs because he believes that increased employment is the antidote to poverty.
Pignon is Saint-Raphaël Arrondissement's municipality in Haiti's Nord Department. The region has a total population of 29,327 inhabitants. La Belle Mère and Savanette's Sections Communales fall under the territory of Pignon. Dioda Calixte has been the mayor of the municipality since 2010 and Hidson Nelson is the Deputy of Ranquite, Lavictoire and Pignon since 2010.
