Haiti and Sri Lanka Establish Diplomatic Ties Formally
On 14th December 2102, both Haiti and Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations, formally. On behalf of Sri Lanka a MOU was signed by the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Palitha Kohona. On behalf of Haiti, the MOU was signed by Permanent Representative of the Republic of Haiti, Mr. Jean Wesley Cazeau.
Sharing Of Common Goals
After joining the United Nations, both the developing nations Haiti and Sri Lanka have shared goals in commonat home and internationally, note Dr. Kohona. Over 2 centuries back, one of the first nations to gain independence from the French colonial rulers was Haiti.
