Le Nouvelliste celebrates 115th year anniversary

The newspaper celebrated its 115th anniversary on May 2, 2013. Speaking about this prestigious occasion, Editor in Chief, Frantz Duval said that there would be an open house that would be held at the newly renovated premises of Rue de Centre. He also mentioned that the open house would present an opportunity for the public to meet with the journalists and the management of the daily.
Frantz Duval also mentioned that the open house would address other critical improvements and advances that the daily would be implementing going forward. One of the big announcements that was made by Frantz Duval was that the newspaper would be printed in English going forward. The strategic objective behind this move was to take Le Nouvelliste to an international audience. He also mentioned that they will be working towards making their presence felt on the World Wide Web.
Overall, it is great news for this legendary daily. Today, Le Nouvelliste is not just for people who speak Creole or Spanish, it is for a global audience. What used to be just a Haitian tradition is now going global, which is wonderful for both the daily as well as Haiti in itself.
