Former North Miami Mayor Lucie Tondreau guilty of conspiracy and mortgage fraud

After a two weeks trial, it took the 12 member jury only two hours to find Lucie Tondreau guilty of conspiracy and wire-fraud charges
Lucie Tondreau was elected as the Mayor of North Miami in 2013. She was arrested immediately after the verdict. With this conviction, she is looking at spending up to 30 years in Federal prison.

I'm sad and angry at the same time. Sad that she decided to do something so stupid and sad that she will be going to prison for a very long time. She should have realized that she was not in Haiti and she should not have done this. Just like black Americans, Haitian-Americans need to understand that this government is out to get them. If they are in elected office they need to be completely clear and free of corruption because the U.S. government is constantly watching and waiting for you to do something illegal.
