The "Haitian Joudalist" has learned that effective in January, 2012 all money transfer agencies will be required to pay only in Gourde. The government suggested this new measure will prevent the current problem were there is not enough US dollars in circulation in Haiti.

In the old days, my family received the money I worked so hard for in US dollar. I usually tell them to make sure they get a good exchange rate because it was never enough to pay for everything. They would usually go out and try to make the US dollar work by getting the best possible market rate.
To me, and I repeat, as far as I am concerned only the Haitian Diaspora is paying the bill.
Where are the Haitian millionaires? Where are the Haitian Billionaires?
Is the Haitian government going to ask them to contribute to the development of Haiti?
This is how i see it.

I am very happy that all transferes will be paid in Haitian Gourdes.
Haiti is not the 51st states of the United the States.
Why then should the U.S dollar be king in Haiti.
By not allowing the U.S dollar to circulate in the country will restore Haitian's dignity.
Just start we don't know where we are going next few months
My question is ;is the us dollar will be equal with Haitian dollar?if it so i have a few things to say after.

What does it mean to convert the tranfer money to Haiti in gourdes before giving it to its recipient?
I think Martelly and his team want to make it a little bite difficult to catch them when stealing the people's money.
I am sure they cannot keep up with such decision because the government will go bankrupt right away after applying that measure.
It is about time that we have all transactions in Haitian gourdes.

These are the banks which for quite some time now have been refusing to accept any US currency that is in any way damaged A tear as small as a millimeter in length will be refused.

If they do not stop the free circulation of foreign currency in the country once and for all it will be illegal to apply such a ruling against a single sector of the society--THE DIASPORA.
There could be a better control of the businessmen if they are forced to purchase currency from the Bank for their transactions as a better way to control their profits that will be measurable and taxable.
Visitors should be forced to convert their currency upon arrival at the airport, and convert it back on their departures.
So what will happen to American $?
The government will keep that money for what. This administration need to solve problem not creating more problem for Haiti.
