Jovenel Moise and the political party PHTK have not been feeling well since February 19, 2016. That was the time when Jovenel Moise and representatives of PHTK met provisional president Jocelerme Privert and learned the bad news. According to Jovenel Moise who was recently on Scoop FM, PHTK was informed at that time by Privert that he was not aware that Jovenel Moise was qualified for the run-off presidential election. Instead, based on the information in possession of the Haitian president, Jovenel Moise came in fifth place in that election and not first as the CEP of Pierre Louis Opont would have suggested.

PHTK protest in St Mark aborted due to lack of Participation

It is normal that people do not want to associate themselves with a loosing team. This is probably what explains the cancellation of a protest organized by PHTL and the supporters of Jovenel Moise on January 28 in St Mark. A protest march organized by PHTK supporters was programmed to begin at 10:00AM on January 28 at Freedom boulevard in St Mark; however, it was cancelled due to lack of participation. Franky Christmas who is the regional Coordinator of PHTK was unable to explain why supporters did not show up. He promised that the mobilization will continue in the future.

Joseph Lambert and Wencesclas Lambert are now diplomats

The defeat of two Lambert brothers, Joseph and Wencesclas Lambert was little surprising to many, but it was more strange when the two brothers accepted the defeat quietly without challenging the published result. They were candidates from President Martelly's Tèt Kale Party (PHTK) banner in the second round of the last election from South-East Haiti.

The brothers are infamous for their stubborn commanding attitude. In February 2011, the U.S Drug Enforcement department hinted Joseph's involvement in the narcotic trade. On May 14, 2014, one businessman cum political activist from Jacmel had claimed that Joseph Lambert appointed 8 heavily armed men to kill him.

PHTK agents voted often and multiple times in Haiti Election

According to several news sources in the media, Parti Haitien Tet Kale (PHTK) was involved ballot stuffing on Election day. They purchased ten of thousand of trafficked cards from accredited organizations and Mandates. It was also reported that paid agents or fanatics were voting multiple times on election day. The decision of the CEP to issue close to 14,000 accreditation cards to each political party was criticized. Many of these organizations were not politically neutral.

It is also a fact in Haiti history that violence and manipulation of the electoral process is often orchestrated by the government itself. During the election, the government is often the group that is involved in violence as it has the monopoly of violence. The government will often use whatever necessary to win.

Information obtained from some reliable sources confirmed that there is currently discussion underway to increase the chances of the PHTK candidate Jovenel Moise to win the next Presidential election. We were told that there is a great possibility that the candidates Steeve Khawly of BOUCLIER and Jean Henry Céant from Renmen Ayiti to join PHTK candidate Jovenel Moise.

Haiti Police Chief Godson Orelus rewarded by PHTK

Since the decision of President Michel Martelly to issue a decree renewing the mandate of Haiti Police Chief Godson Orelus for another three years, rumors have not stopped. Many people think that the PNH has not been neutral under Godson Orelus and the decree issued recently to renew the Police Chief for another three years is just a payment for his support to the government and Tet Kale in particular.

Nothing could be more obvious of the dependency of the Haiti Police force to the current Tet kale regime than the decision of Godson Orelus to wear pink in support to Tet kale (PHTK).

Verite Objects To Candidacy of Sophia Saint Remy Martelly

'Vérité', the political party of the former Haitian President René Préval has lodged complaints along with other political parties on the legitimacy of Haitian first lady's candidacy for the Senate. 'Vérité', like other political parties, has filed the objection at the department level and would take the matter to the National Electoral Office of Disputes (BCEN), as the report of Sentinel dated May 4, 2015 suggests. The primary source about learning Preval's lodging complaint, was a journalist from 'La Matin'.

The First Lady Sophia Saint Remy Martelly was born in New York, USA on October 9, 1965. She submitted her nomination on behalf of her husband's center-right liberal "Tèt Kale Party (PHTK) on the final day. The heaps of complaints that have been lodged against the validity of her candidacy, were mainly based on the provisions of the Article 96 (1) of the Haitian constitution and that reads like that......" To be elected to the Senate, a person must be a native born Haitian and never have renounced his nationality". The first lady renounced her Haitian citizenship in 1989 because then she used to spend more time in the U.S and before 2011, dual citizenship was not permitted in the Haitian constitution. However, Gregory Mayard Paul, the lawyer of Martelly Presidency has submitted a Certificate of Loss of Citizenship of the United States of America with a date one year earlier and that states that on March 31, 2014, the first lady had requested for the expatriation of her American citizenship.
