What does that mean?
The H-2A and H-2B visas program allows employers to bring certain low-skilled Haitian workers to work in the United States on a temporary basis. This decision of the government to allow Haitians to become eligible for the H-2A and H-2B visas was as a result of the two US Senators and some other U.S. States Representative from Florida who have been pushing for the visa to be extended to the Haitians
According to US Secretary of States:
"H-2A Seasonal Agricultural Workers - which apply to all petitions filed for this visa category. NOTE: USCIS may approve a petition for this visa category on your behalf if you are a citizen or national of a designated country. If you are a citizen or national from a non-designated country, USCIS may approve a petition on your behalf if it is determined to be in the United States' interest"
"H-2B Temporary or Seasonal Nonagricultural Workers - which apply to all petitions filed for this visa category. NOTE: USCIS may approve a petition for this visa category on your behalf if you are a citizen or national of a designated country. If you are a citizen or national from a non-designated country, USCIS may approve a petition on your behalf if it is determined to be in the United States' interest"
