Yves Mondesir, Whoo Kid's, Controversial Minimalist Style

Yves Mondesir is a Haitian hip-hop-rap DJ, who goes by the name Whoo Kid, and whose trademark "Whoooooo Kiiiiiid", graces all his mixtapes. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens Village, New York. He has a long discography of mixtapes, dating back to 2000, beginning with his hosted re-mix of "50 Cent Is the Future".

He has produced his mixtapes under several record labels: G-Unit, Shady Ville Entertainment, Money Management Group, and Dream Big Ventures. Artists he has recorded mixtapes for, include rap and hip-hop acts 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dog, Wyclef Jean, and Young Jeezy.

Whoo Kid's controversial mixing style has one music critic complaining his mixtapes are so simplistic. Therefore he can issue them on a weekly basis. By definition, re-mixes as they are also referred to, layer parts of other artist tracks to create an original sound, often with a motif.
