Haiti is located in the Caribbean. It occupies the western, smaller portion of the island of Hispaniola.
The island of Hispagnola is shared between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Haiti is known for its high mountains with its highest mountain, Pic la Selle.
Its capital, Port-au-Prince and its officials languages are Haitian Creole and French.
