Tire Burning

Tire burning in Haiti is a sign of protest by the mass usually against the government. Usually when tire are burning in the streets, there are little activities because the population are afraid not to become victims. Usually the purpose of the tire burning is to alert the government about issues of interest to them.
Since Jean-Claude Duvalier went into exile, there have been many such incidents of tire burning or "Pere Lebrun" in Haiti
