Michel Martelly is likely to Pardon Former Dictator Jean Claude Duvalier

The question is whether or not the former Haitian dictator, Jean Claude Duvalier, should face trial on corruption and human rights violations? If Haitian president Michel Martelly can have his way, the former Haitian leader will instead have a pardon.

According to an interview given to Associated Press at the World Economic Forum, President Michel Martelly stated that he will respect the independence of the process responsible to determine whether or not Duvalier should face trial on corruption and human rights violations.

Martelly believe that a trial of Jean Claude Duvalier could be explosive to Haiti while we are trying to recover from years of political turmoil and a devastating earthquake two years ago.

Question:

Are you for or against a trial of Jean Claude Duvalier at this time in Haiti?

Do you thing Jean Claude Duvalier should face trial on corruption and human rights violations?

Do you think instead Michel Martelly should give him Pardon?

What do you think if Jean Claude Duvalier goes public, admits his crimes and ask for forgiveness?

You have the floor now. I want to hear you

Yes he should face trial.

This is the only way to learn how previous governments have been defrauding the country.

It will be a way to stop those actually in power to follow the same route or the same practices.

The question of foregiving come after the trial not

The case of Michel Martelly and the issue of Citizenship can be summarized in three words: MATELLY NAN CHO.

Mr. President, your trick did not work. The only way you would have been able to swing this one if you did not have a "Ti landing" like Moise Jean Charles.

Mr. President, this is what you did not do and it was because of your lack of experience.

You should have taken Senator Moise and give him a position in your government.

I THINK MICHEL MARTELLY IS NOT THE HAITIAN PEOPLE EVEN THROUGH HE IS THE PRESIDENT.

HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DO THAT WITHOUT CONSULTING THE NATION.

I REMEMBER I USED TO LIVE IN FEAR WHEN I WAS IN HAITI.

SPECIALY IN JANUARY 1986 BEFORE JEAN CLAUDE DUVALIER AND HIS THUGS LEFT HAITI.THEY WERE TRYING TO DESTROYED THE COUNTRY BEFORE THEY LEAVE.IAM 100% AGAINST THE PARDON FOR THE FORMER DICTATOR JEAN CLAUDE DUVALIER.

The law is the law. So many innocent people were murdered to the Duvalier regime.

Baby Doc should be brought to Justice for the crimes that were commited under his watch.

Not only that, for all the money that he, exwife and goons stole from Haiti.

Wake up people..in order to move on the slate has to be wiped clean.
