Name of Mandataires caught cheating in next election to be publicized

The President of the CEP, Leopold Berlanger, thinks he has the problem regarding "Mandataires" or poll watchers under control for the next election scheduled for October 9, 2016. Berlanger admitted that what has triggered fraud in the previous election was the phenomenon of assigning blank accreditation cards to over 1 million poll watchers or "Mandataires" and allowing them to potentially cast multiple ballots at any polling station they want.

The current plan is to assign "Mandataires" only to the voting centers and polling stations where they are registered. Leopold Berlanger thinks that will reduce the potential for fraud.

Roudy Stanley Penn resigned as Spoke person for the CEP

After many attempts to resign the CEP, Roudy Stanley Penn now made it official this time. In his resignation statement, he declared that hi is called to do other things. Roudy was one of the spoke person for the new CEP under Leopold Berlanger Jr. He was the campaign manager for Senator Jean Renel Senatus,(Zokiki)

Magdala Desrameaux Richard shot dead in Delmas 19

It was with shock that we learned the assassination of Ms. Magdala Desrameaux Richard. She was shot dead on Friday night (7/22/16) in Delmas 19 by an unidentified gunman as she went to pick up her children at a beauty Salon. Her car was taken by the bandit but retrieved later by the Police. According to information gathered, she was the cousin of actual Deputy of Tabarre, Caleb Desrameaux. Born in port-de-paix, Magdala Desrameaux Richard is mother of two children. She is the the daughter of engineer Max Gasto Desrameaux who is the former president of the "Alliance Francaise" of port-de-Paix.

Hillary Clinton held responsible for Haiti recovery setback

Even six years after the massive earthquake, many people in Haiti continue to hold that Hillary Clinton's State Department and the Clinton Foundation are responsible for a recovery effort that cost billions, but yielded a very little return. The Haitians often claim that earthquake aid money was mismanaged and lucrative deals went to Clinton cronies. To make room for Caracol Industrial Park, a Clintons' signature project in Haiti valuing $224 million, 366 farmers were evicted, valuable agricultural lands were acquired and as per late 2015, it created only 5,000 jobs instead of 60,000 promised jobs.

Haiti to use Dominican literacy plan as a model for Haiti

A Haitian delegation, headed by Secretary of State of Literacy Brutus Paula Julien, went to the Dominican Republic in order to have a better understanding of "Quisqueya Aprende Contigo", a literacy program that has shown some success there. They want to use it a a model for literacy in Haiti. The Haitian delegation was introduced to the three main programs currently in application in the neighboring country, including: "Quisqueya Sin Miseria" with 3 social programs that composes it "Quisqueya Aprende Contigo", "Quisqueya Empieza Contigo" and "Todos Somos Quisqueya".

Haiti is looking at implementing this new plan for illiterate people aged 16 to 50 years for a period covering 2016 to 2021

Story of North Miami police accidental shooting doesn't add up

As you may remember in the previous article, North Miami police shot Charles Kinsey, a black therapist who was trying to calm an autistic patient while his hands were up in the air. A union official called it an accidental shooting. However people on the side of Charles Kinsey do not quite buy this story of accidental shooting. According to Kinsey's boss, that explanation doesn't add up. Mr. Clint Bower who runs the center for the developmentally disabled where Kinsey works stated this is "just outrageous". "They are now saying they intended to shoot my client, and instead they shot my employee"

Kenneth Merten in Haiti to discuss urgent need for election

The Special Coordinator to Haiti, Kenneth Merten, came for a visit in Haiti Thursday, 21 July 2016 to meet members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and other Haitian officials in an objective to provide some support to insure that upcoming elections are credible and fair. He will discuss the urgent need for Haiti to have elected representatives at all levels of the government. The presidential election is scheduled for October, with twenty-seven candidates registered to run.

Police chief Gary Eugene reacted after his officer shot unarmed black man

Another incident of police shooting of an unarmed black man took place in North Miami where the Police chief is Haitian-American Gary Eugene. Kinsey, 47, who is a worked at a Group Home for mentally disable people in North Miami was shot by the police when he went to retrieve an autistic man carrying a toy truck that was wandered from a mental health center. He was shot even after he throws his hands up in the air and says, 'Don't shoot me.'

Police Chief Gary Eugene who is new in the position is looking for answers. He stated that no weapon had been recovered after one of his officers shot an unarmed mental healthcare worker. It was later revealed by a representative of the Police union that the bullet that struck the caregiver was meant to protect him. Whom does Donald Trump wants to "Take America Back" from?

In the early morning on June 24, 2016, when Trump arrived in Scotland the referendum result was just announced. He congratulated them for their vote to take their country back and declared that the U.S is the next. He equated 'Brexit' with the upcoming U.S election and said in November 8, we will take America back and re-declare our independence. "Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today's rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people." However, the problem was Scotland didn't vote to 'Leave' the UK. Scotland voted to stay in the EU by 62% to 38% in the referendum!

Anne Marie Issa, top adviser to Jean Henry Ceant, quits campaign

Former co-owner and founder of Signal FM Anne Marie Issa who was one of the top advisers to the candidacy of Jean Henry Ceant under the banner of Renmen Ayiti, announced her resignation. She doesn't agree with the most recent positions of her candidate in regard to Provisional President Jocelerme Privert. Ms. Issa feels that Privert doesn't deserve the harsh criticism recently made by Jean Henry Ceant and she fells that that so far he has been doing his best to continue with the election process in Haiti. She mentioned the creation of an independent commission and installation of a credible CEP.
