Pet Dog

There about 14 identified ancient breeds of dogs which include the Akita Inu, the Basenji, the Chow Chow, the Shar Pei, and the Shiba Inu. These breeds are native to China and Japan which made most scientists and researchers speculate that the first dogs did come from Asia. And as millennia and centuries past, hundreds and hundreds of variety of breeds have developed.

Dogs are known for their devotion, loyalty, and most importantly their love for their human owners. They are often regarded by most humans as more than pets, and in fact see them as family. Dogs are also known for their playfulness, their trainability, and their ability to adapt to a certain household or environment. They could also be trained as working dogs like herding sheep, guiding the blind, and detect drugs or bombs in airports and other establishments.

Despite being regarded as "man's ultimate best friend" in most countries, there are some nations and societies that see dogs as unclean. Some even eat them, which is a strong taboo for most dog owners.
