Pierre Esperance rejects questions on integrity in affair Joseph Lambert and Edo Zenny

As they've made it their mission to question the goings on of any and all individuals, entities or even the government as they relate to issues of human rights and justice, it is a point of irony that the RNDDH, (The National Network for the Defense of Human Rights) has, itself, been called out on the integrity of its dealings in the affair concerning former Senator, Joseph Lambert and current Senator, Edwin Zenny.

The organization had received the official testimony against the senators and the accusation is that the RNDDH has been subjective and have delineated towards a decidedly partisan opinion. The two senators were accused of being directors of the Kakos criminal syndicate. Their accuser, Sherlson Sanon, gave a testimony that was notarized, stating that Zenny and Lambert had issued him orders to commit various crimes including electoral fraud, drug trafficking and murder.

Senator Edwin "Edo" Zenny said he does not know Sherlson Sanon, never met him

South East's 1st Senator, Edwin "Edo" Zenny, went in a defensive mode on Friday July 5th, 2013 against the accusations made by Sherlson Sanon. Sanon, a 25 year old man from Jacmel, Haiti publicly confessed that the Senator had approached him to commit several crimes. Zenny, who spoke without a lawyer, said on Thursday, July 4, that he chose lawyer to speak on behalf of him to the press but with the accusations of Sanon made public on Thursday night, Edwin felt it necessary to defend himself.

Edwin denied all accusations made by Sherlson Sanon in his public confession and said that he never met Sanon. Edwin questioned about the meeting place with Sanon, if at all they actually met and ask Sanon to plot the the crimes as mentioned by Sanon in his public confession.

There has been serious accusations brought to two very important, powerful and close friends and associates of President Michel Martelly. Sherlson Sanon, a child soldier an admitted former criminal, made damning testimony on the role of Senator Edo Zenny and former Senator Joseph Lambert, in a network of murder, kidnaping and drug trafficking with members of the gang "Base Kakos"

Jean Helson Royal: Vice-Delegate, District of Jacmel

Haitian governance is divided into a series of departments, districts and communes in order to decentralize its executive power and to ensure that every Haitian in each area are able to receive public service. To make sure that the welfare of its citizens is being met, the Martelly administration has recently announced on the 13th of July the three new vice-delegates for the South East department of Haiti. For the district of Jacmel, the department's capital, Jean Helson Royal was proclaimed as its vice-delegate.

Royal is known for being the former campaign manager of current Haitian senator Edwin Zenny. In his acceptance speech, he promised that he shall commit himself in strengthening his district, as well as encouraging economic development and prioritizing the well-being of Haitians in the region. Royal's Jacmel has a population of about 250,000 and consists of four municipalities. It is also a popular tourist destination in the country.

I spat on him? judge Simonis, I would say no said Senator Edwin Zenny

After an uncertain account of his behavior on Monday, Senator Edwin Zenny (Edo) seems to be more calm now to recollect his behavior last Saturday. In a press conference in Parliament, on Monday, the Senator has declared that "I did not spit on the judge Bob Simonis". Additionally, he denied that he was armed at the time of the incident.

According to Haitilibre, Senator Edwin Zenny declared on Radio Magik 9 "There had been altercations and exchanges of words between us. By discussing, anything was possible. I tell you without lie, for Jacmel, I can do anything."

What does that mean exactly: "For Jacmel, I can do anything"?

Would the Senator abuse others, kill or violate the law he supposed to uphold for Jacmel?

Allegation that Senator Edwin Zenny (Edo) spits at Judge Bob Simonis' Face

The first Senator of Southeast, Edwin Zenny, was unable to control his anger last Saturday. He actually committed one of the most despicable act to a fellow Haitian. While judge of Peace in Jacmel, Bob Simonis and Professor Pierre Lucien participated in a radio show hosted by the journalist Etzer Pierre, he got involved in an exchange with the first senator of South-East, Edwin Zenny (Edo) who was not invited into the show.

Senator Zenny who is a close ally of President Michel Martelly called judge Bob Simonis a thief on the radio station, following the release of these four individuals. As you can imagine, the situation got worse. Ultimately, according to report, Senator Edwin Zenny, not being able to reach judge Bob Simonis to punch his face, did the next best thing. According to reports in all the media, he would collect mucus and spit on the face of judge Bob Simonis. Professor Pierre Lucien who was seating close by the judge also received a good portion of the Senator's spit as well.

Emmanor Deroneth Named Vice-Delegate for GOH Decentralization Initiative

New Vice-Delegate Emmanor Déroneth has been appointed by presidential decree to serve Belle Anse county in the Government of Haiti's (GOH) decentralization program. Déroneth and his co-appointees, Joseph Ponyon of Bain county, and Jean Helson Royal of Jacmel, were inducted into office at the Jacmel Court of First Instance, on Friday July 13, 2012.

Upholding his sworn duty to fulfill Vice-Delegate responsibilities, Déroneth took his oath of office in front of an audience of government and public officials. Among those who attended the swearing-in were Sagesse Ovilmar, South East Director of Police; Pierre Michel Lafontant, Department Delegate; and Edwin Daniel Zenny, South East first Senator.

Is Michel Martelly planning on the dissolution of Parliament?

As several members of Haiti Senate went public in their opposition to the choice of Bernard Gousse as Prime Minister, President Michel Martelly went on attack against them. There is a rumor that the president might attempt the dissolution of the Haitian Parliament if his Prime Minister nominee is not approved.

Senator Edwin Zenny who was traveling with Michel Martelly accused the other Senator of attempting to negotiate the ratification of the new Prime Minister based on personal interest. The president also wants the Senators to remember that he sign their paychecks.
