Candidates Demand the Creation of an Independent Commission

The rankings in the contest and their shares of votes are given here along with the candidates' names and the banners they represent. Jude Célestin, LAPEH (2nd place total 394,390 or 25.27% votes), Moise Jean-Charles, Platfòm Pitit Dessalin (3rd place, total 222,646 or 14.27% votes), Éric Jean-Baptiste, M.A.S (5th place, total 56,671 or 3.63% votes), Jean-Henry Céant, Renmen Ayiti (6th place, total 39,005 or 2.50% votes), Sauveur Pierre Étienne, OPL (7th place, total 30,227 or 1.94% votes), Steven I. Benoit, Konviksyon (8th place, total 17,851 or 1.14% votes), Samuel Madistin, MOPOD (10th place, total 13,656 or 0.88% votes) and Charles Henry Baker, Respe (24th place, total 2,784 or 0.18% votes).
As per their memorandum, an independent commission consisting five members should be appointed by credible sectors like Media Association, human rights sectors, women's organizations , national observers, and education sectors. They have denounced the published results and have termed it as a dangerous return to the past.
