New Air Ambulance Services in Haiti, for whom exactly?

This is what I saw in the newspaper this morning. A group of movers and shakers in the helicopter EMS industry has introduced a new air medical service for Haiti. The Haiti Air Ambulance (HAA)

Haiti Air Ambulance, a not-for-profit foundation will launch Haiti's first permanent helicopter EMS program.

They expect to provide life-saving emergency services to all Haitians regardless of income.

According to the information, this new service is supposed to alleviate Haiti's dire emergency medical needs.

Airplane crash in Grand'Anse, Jeremie, no survival

June 25, 2013: 4:30 PM (update):
As it is usually the case, the latest information available reported that the crash is from a small airplane and the number of victims has been confirmed to be only two, and not nine

June 25, 2013: 11:50 AM (update):

The crash is from an unidentified helicopter and not a small airplane as previously reported. Also, the number of casualty has been revised upward. It is now confirmed that a total of nine (9) people burned to death and are beyond recognition. The location of the crash has also been changed to Previle, in Grand'Anse.

Moise Jean-Charles - Michel Martelly per diem expenses $20,000 a day fo travel

President Michel Martelly's administration has been faced with a series of controversies recently. One of the most recent issues is an allegation made by a Haitian senator from the country's North department, Moise Jean-Charles, regarding the President's lavish travel expenses.

Earlier this month, Senator Jean-Charles gave a speech in a Lavalas family party's rally in Brooklyn, New York and an interview to a Haitian newspaper, claiming that Martelly, his family and his staff were wrongly and excessively spending Haiti's money when traveling to other countries that amounted to millions of dollars. This included expensive aircraft rentals, vehicle buying, and unreasonably big withdrawals from the country's central bank for questionable purposes.

Prime Minister Garry Conille involved in Car accident in Laboule

How can this happen? The car brakes of the head of of Haiti government failed. According to the report, it happened in the location of Laboule near port -au-Prince when the car that was taking Prime Minister Garry Conille got into an accident. The accident was not serious and Prime Minister Garry Conille was not hurt.

Mr. Conille, as head of government, I would advise that you go and find out what's going on.

If it is not your helicopter that does a forced landing, it is the Airplane taking the government team to Cuba that was obligated to do emergency landing.
