Haitian Designer Stella Jean to Show 2014 Collection at Armani Atelier
Stella Jean, a Haitian-Italian fashion designer, has been singled out by haute couture icon, Giorgio Armani, to show her 2014 collection at Armani Teatro. The showing will take place during Fall Milan Fashion Week.
The distinction of showing at the prestigious salon on Via Bergognone is not lost on Jean. Winner of Vogue Italia's Who's On Next talent search, she says Armani's recognition of her is received with much gratitude. To be chosen in the field of young fashion designers by an innovator, who has his finger on the pulse of fashion trends to come, is a remarkable honor.
Haiti Stuns Italy World Cup Champions with a Tie Game in Soccer
Sixty-third ranked Haiti's Les Grenadiers managed a tie-score game against soccer-world champions, Italy, at an exhibition game in Rio de Janeiro. The final score was 2-2. Italy took an early lead, scoring the first goal 19 seconds after the game had started. Made by mid-fielder, Emanuele Giaccherini, it set a record for the quickest goal in Italian soccer records. Italy's second goal was scored by Claudio Marchisio 18 minutes before half-time.

Haiti's national soccer team, the Haiti National Football team (HNFT) has been competing since the 1960s in CONCACAF. Making the cut for the World Cup in 1974, they played against fierce competitors, the Italians.
Although they did not win, they made an impression with star player, Emmanuel Sanon, making the opening winning goal. In 1974 Antoine Tassy coached the HNFT with a roster of 22 players.

Is President Michel Martelly a Haitian, American or an Italian?
According to the Senator of North, Moise Jean-Charles, The Haitian president in deed has renounced to his Haitian nationality in the past. Michel Martelly in possession of American and Italian citizenship, says Moise Jean-Charles.
Senator Moise Jean-Charles is so certain of his allegation that is already advocating for the removal of President Michel Martelly from office.
"Today is the end for President Martelly, too long he lied to the people, the truth is now clear, leaving only his removal," said Senator Jean-Charles.
The extent and detail of the dossier is unknown at present; however Senator Moise Jean-Charles already released his dossier proving that President Michel Martelly is in possession of American and Italian citizenship

Haitian politics has been shaped by decades of power struggles between people in power, as well as with the country's citizens. Long-time politician René Préval has witnessed and experienced them all.
Before becoming a politician, Préval first became an agronomist, which has something to do with the science and technology of agriculture. After acquiring his studies in Belgium and Italy and living in New York for five years, he went home to Haiti and worked for the National Institute for Mineral Resources and was very active in agricultural activities in Haitian society. Préval then put up his own bakery and remained active political movements and charity, which led him to meet Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the country's first democratic president. In 1991, he served as Haiti's Prime Minister for eight months before going into exile after a military coup.
